1. Advertising

   Since 1990 he has worked in advertising and communications, wherein he produced and directed documentaries, corporate films and then advertising films for various corporate houses and advertising agencies.

2. Music Videos

   Ashu has produced and directed 15 music videos for various music companies and artists.

3. Television

   In 1995 he produced and directed a science fiction television serial for ‘BITV’ called ‘RET’.

   He also directed multiple episodes (curtain raisers) for DD1 on Yanni
   Directed 14 episodes for Boogie Woogie for Sony for their first ever out of Mumbai talent hunt, which was shot in Delhi.

   Produced and directed the first fiction tele - film on 'Aids' in 1995 called 'Tanhaa' starring Javed Jaffri, Vikram Gokhle, Reema Lagu, Tom Alter, Dr. Shriram Lagu and others.

4. Feature Films

   Since 1996 he started designing promotional campaigns for feature films and lent his services to more than 50 feature films with a success ratio of over 80%. Some of the films promoted by Ashu include:

   He introduced the digital technology in feature films in India through title sequences, special effects and theatrical trailers. Designed title sequence and special effects for more than 15 feature films including:

   Teraa Jadoo Chal Gaya,
   Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya,
   Chal Mere Bhai,
   

   Ashu has co directed an English film shot in Mumbai called the ‘Real McCoy’. It did the largest business in Europe second only to ‘The Phantom Menace.’

   In 2001, Ashu Trikha directed his first full length fearture film in Hindi called ‘DEEWAANAPAN’ which was produced by Vashu Bhagnani starring Arjun Rampal, Diya Mirza, Vinod Khanna, Om Puri amongst others.

   

   In 2002 he then co directed an English film called 'Refuge' shot entirely in Goa of which he was also the technical consultant. The entire film was on the digital format with the cast and most of the crew from Hollywood and U.K.

   

   In 2003 Ashu was involved in special effects as the 'special effects director' in a supernatural thriller titled 'Hawa' starring Tabu.

   He has extensive experience in shooting both in India and abroad having shot in places like Switzerland, Paris, Nice, U.K., New Zealand, and South Africa.
